KAIZEN PRACTICES

At Bidco, we apply the Kaizen principle in all our operations, which is in line with our belief in "Happy Healthy Living". This principle focuses on working as a team, non-blaming environment and using good processes to get good results.

We use Kaizen to:

  • Set operating standards (via detailed breakdowns of all processes)
  • Monitor all results
  • Make adjustments

Kaizen encourages the management team to ensure everyone is following the standard operating procedures and that corrective actions are applied when required. It also ensures good housekeeping through its 6S steps, which simplify the work environment.

All Bidco departments meet every morning before 10:00am to recite the Kaizen Pledge, and later discuss the operating procedures of the previous day and set goals for the new day. All results are monitored and any corrective actions are effected accordingly. This helps in enhancing teamwork and improving the quality of work.

ISO CERTTFICATION

At Bidco we follow the highest standards of quality and practice. We were among the first companies in the region to adopt the stringent standard of operations of the ISO 9001.

The ISO 9001: 2008 certification enables a quality management system based on outstanding management principles like a strong customer focus and continuous improvement. This certification ensures that consumers get products and services that are consistently of a high quality, which in turn offers numerous business benefits.

We regularly perform internal system audits to check the performance of the quality management system.

 

 

 

ISO 14001: 2004 ISO 14001: 2004

The ISO 14001: 2004 certification sets the criteria for an environmental management system. Instead of stating requirements, it maps out a framework for us to follow to set up an effective system. This certification assures everyone involved that the environmental impact is being measured and improved.

The ISO 22000:2005 certification ensures that our Food Safety Management Systems maintain the highest international standards. Contamination is a major concern in the food industry. It is thus critical that controls are in place throughout the food chain.
